Cheryn recently graduated from the University of Wollongong (UOW) with a Bachelor of Performance (Acting). In 2014 Cheryn had the opportunity to debut the character Poppy in the AWGIE Award winning production, The Gap written by Patricia Cornelius, Melissa Reeves and Angela Betzien and directed by Catherine McKinnon. In 2015 Cheryn was Artistic Director for the annual UOW Student Initiated Nothing to See Here Festival. Recently, Cheryn debuted a new Australian work that she co-devised, co-wrote and performed as part of the 2016 Melbourne Fringe Festival, titled Smut & Half Truths.
